PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve that can accurately perform a multiple-stage fuel injection with a high degree of flexibility by a simple structure and control. SOLUTION: In a fuel injection valve having a structure of double needle valves, a first needle valve 2 and a second needle valve 3 are coaxially accommodated in a nozzle 4, the first needle valve 2 opens and closes a first injection hole 6, and the second needle valve 3 opens and closes a second injection hole 7. A fuel inflow path 20 branched from a fuel inlet 22 to communicate with the first and second injection holes 6 and 7 is formed in a body part 11. The fuel injection valve includes a first control valve 40 for operating and controlling only the first needle valve 2 in the first and second needle valves 2 and 3, and a second control valve 41 for operating and controlling only the second needle valve 3 in the first and second needle valves 2 and 3.
