PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system that is enhanced in resistance to a system down. SOLUTION: On a network formed using ARCNET(R), a function of monitoring a state of a token path is mounted on Active-Hub 100 to which a node is connected. Namely, a token capture part 50a captures a token, a monitor processing unit 50b monitors a destination node ID of the token, and a specification processing unit 50c specifies a faulty node from results thereof.
