PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe end face inspection device and a pipe end face inspection method capable of detecting accurately a defect of the end face of a pipe which is an inspection object. SOLUTION: This pipe end face inspection device (1) includes: an imaging part (3) for photographing the end face (10a) of the pipe (10) which is the inspection object, and generating an inspection image on which the pipe end face (10a) is reflected; an illumination light source (2) arranged so that the pipe end face (10a) is irradiated with illumination light, and that at least a part of illumination light regularly reflected by the outer circumferential end (10b) and the inner circumferential end (10c) of the pipe end face progresses toward the imaging part (3), and that illumination light regularly reflected by the other portion of the pipe end face diverges from the imaging part (3); and an image processing part (4) for detecting a first edge corresponding to the outer circumferential end (10b) of the pipe end face and a second edge corresponding to the inner circumferential end (10c) of the pipe end face from the inspection image, and determining the quality of the pipe (10) based on the first edge and the second edge.
