The device has a waveguide arranged along rail profile parts in a rail direction. A profiled connector (3) is arranged in an inner wall of slotted profile parts (1) of the waveguide such that a cavity surrounding the slotted profile parts is controlled for conveying electromagnetic waves in the rail direction. The slotted profile parts are suspended, clamped or form-fitly connected with the rail profile parts in a direction for detachably connecting the slotted profile parts with the rail profile parts at two positions, where the direction is oriented perpendicular to the rail direction.
