PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to select a color of an idle screen on a liquid crystal display panel depending on the case color of the LCD device. CONSTITUTION: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device(10) comprises: an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(100); a backlight nit(20) which is placed at a lower portion of the LCD to provide the LCD panel with light; a retardation film which is placed on the LCD panel; a compensation film(30) which includes first and second CLC(Cholesteric Liquid Crystal) polarizing film; and a fixing unit(50) and a support unit(40) which respectively fix and support the LCD panel and the backlight unit.
