<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance flexibility of a registered one-click icon, in a system environment using point-and-print. <P>SOLUTION: In a print control system, a server is provided with: a creation means 202 for setting a plurality of printing functions, and for creating a symbol representing a plurality of set printing functions; a setting means 202 for setting attributes indicating whether symbol information showing information on the symbol created by the creation means should be shared or not; a first storage means 204 for, when "share" is set by the setting means, storing the symbol information; and a first local folder 206 for, when "non-share" is set by the setting means, storing the symbol information.
