PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent incorrect detection caused by the operation of a motor being a battery load and to perform the accurate detection of a leak. SOLUTION: On the assumption that there is employed a constitution where the motor 10 is driven by battery power through an inverter on the basis of the operation of an operation lever 13, a voltage signal for leak detection is imparted by a leakage detection signal output means 19 between DC buses 15 and 15 connected to a battery 8 and the body of a machine, and the signal is detected by a signal detecting means 20 and the presence or absence of a leak state is determined on the basis of a peak value of the detected voltage signal. When the operation lever 13 is operated in the course of determination, the determination is suspended due to a possibility of the incorrect detection caused by the fluctuation of a battery voltage resulting from the operation of the motor 10.
