PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having a stable luminescent region. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element 10 is formed by sandwiching organic layers 3 including a luminescent layer 6 between a pair of electrodes comprising a positive electrode 2 and a negative electrode 3. A luminescent dopant material included in a luminescent layer 6 has a concentration gradient in accordance with a relationship between electron mobility and hole mobility of the luminescent dopant material included in the luminescent layer 6 in the thickness direction of the luminescent layer 6.
