PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, configured to suppress reduction in the charging potential, even after chargings and dischargings are repeated. SOLUTION: The photoelectric photoreceptor includes at least a conductive substrate, a charge generating layer having a film thickness of 0.10μm or less, and a charge transport layer, in this order, and satisfies the inequality (1): 0(μC/m<SP>2</SP>)¾Q1-Q2¾10 (μC/m<SP>2</SP>); and in the inequality, Q2 represents the value of charge (μC/m<SP>2</SP>) at an X-intercept of Qb-Vb line, in a graph in which the relation of charge Qb imparted to surface and surface potential Vb in the photoelectric photoreceptor, after being subjected to a charge-discharge stress test of repeating charging and discharging a 10,000 times is plotted, and Q1 represents the value of charge (μC/m<SP>2</SP>) at an X-intercept of Qa-Va line, in a graph in which the relation between charge Qa imparted to surface and surface potential Va in the electrophotographic photoreceptor before the charge-discharge stress test is plotted. According to the present invention, compared with a case in which ¾Q1-Q2¾ in expression (1) exceeds 10μC/m<SP>2</SP>, reduction in the charged potential is suppressed, even after chargings and dischargings are repeated.
