OVERLOAD CONTROL METHOD FOR SHORT MESSAGE CENTER AND OVERLOAD CONTROL SYSTEM THEREOF

An overload control method and system for short message center are provided, which serve to control the short message center to run steadily when the short message traffic bursts. The method includes: inputting the control information of the overload control policy, dividing the overload states of the short message center into different overload grades, defining sorts of the short message, and establishing the corresponding relationship between the overload grades and the short message sorts; when the short message center overload occurs, buffering or discarding the short message according to the corresponding relationship between the overload grades and the short message sorts; when determining that the overload state of the short message center is relieved, forwarding the short messages in the buffer of the short message center. By using the method and system of the present invention, the short message center can be ensured to operate securely, even if the overload occurs.
