BACKOFF METHOD FOR REDUCING CONTENTION OF WLAN

PURPOSE: A back off method for reducing collision in a wireless network is provided to deteremine the size of a new competition window by using offset and various applying ratio. CONSTITUTION: A frame is transmitted(S110). A window size is determined based on a predetermined offset and applying rate(S170). The applying rate includes at least one between a predetermined FR(Fixed Ratio) and PR(Persistence factor Ratio). A new competition window size is determined through a multiple of the competition window, the FR, the off set of the FR.
