<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system with improved communication quality and reliability. <P>SOLUTION: When a communication module performs a predetermined operation, a signal processing section in the communication system transmits a control signal at a predetermined level. When authenticating the communication module, the signal processing section changes the level of the control signal to conform to a preset authentication pattern and transmits the control signal. An operation control section in the communication module receives the control signal transmitted from the signal processing section. When the level of the received control signal is the predetermined level, the operation control section performs the predetermined operation corresponding to the predetermined level.
