PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input/output device or the like in which the input/output device determines whether or not an input device control-setting medium corresponds to input original information to perform processing according to determination results. SOLUTION: The input/output device includes: an original reading means for reading original data; an optical reading means for reading optical reading codes from the device control-setting medium which records original layout information, reading conditions, processing conditions and output conditions, etc. of an original; and an original discrimination means for extracting the original layout information from the read optical reading codes to be compared with original layout of read prescribed original data, wherein the input/output device performs processing according to the discrimination results by the original discrimination means.
