PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position location technology which locates a position of a mobile machine and requires no calculation, such as triangulation principle, even when there is no position information from 3 base stations, does not need to add equipment or a function to a base station of a current mobile communication system, a mobile machine, or a base station controller for controlling the base station, does not need to require the mobile machine to acquire position information with a mobile machine having a GPS function, and locates a position of the mobile machine. SOLUTION: When the mobile machine is connected to a call, requests handoff, or is disconnected, a position of the mobile machine is located on the basis of base station identification information about the base station for setting information about a distance between a mobile machine and the base station and a communication path from information included in a message transmitted to the base station control unit via base stations 201, 202, 203.
