PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system which, when a plurality of receivers receive and emit audio data while being related with each other, can cancel sound emission suppression in an appropriate state while sound emission from a certain receiver is suppressed. SOLUTION: A speaker device 20 and an SW 30 each including a wireless communication function receive audio stream data from communication equipment wirelessly communicated therewith, respectively and emit the audio stream data. When the wireless connection with the communication equipment is cut off, the SW 30 suppresses sound emission thereafter. The speaker device 20 detects whether the SW is brought into a sound emission suppressed state and in a state where the SW 30 suppresses sound emission, the speaker device 20 transmits to the SW 30 a sound emission suppression canceling command to cancel suppression of sound emission. When the wireless connection with the communication equipment is set up again, the SW 30 resumes sound emission by canceling the suppression of sound emission in accordance with the sound emission suppression canceling command transmitted from the speaker device.
