PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens and an imaging device with small characteristic change accompanying temperature change of plastic lenses while securing superior optical performance at low cost. SOLUTION: The zoom lens includes a first lens group G1 having negative refractive power, a second lens group G2 having positive refractive power, a third lens group G3 having negative refractive power, and a fourth lens group G4 having positive refractive power. The first lens group G1 includes a first lens (negative lens) L11 constituted of glass, a reflection member (rectangular prism LP) folding an optical path, and two or less lenses including the plastic lenses with smaller absolute values of refractive power than that of the negative lens L11. The second lens group G2 includes a positive lens constituted of glass and three or less lenses including the plastic lenses. When a composite focal distance of the plastic lenses included in an entire system is fpr, and an entire system focal distance in a wide angle end is fw, the following conditional inequality (1) is satisfied.
