The cover (1) has a first ply (2) and a second ply (3), which are turned towards a surface (9) to be cleaned and are brought in contact with the surface. A third ply (4) is attached to the second ply such that the second and the third plies are overlapped in an overlapping region. The third ply comprises a protruding area (11) and is not overlapped with the second ply in the protruding area. The third ply is brought in contact with the surface to be cleaned during cleaning of the protruding area. The second ply is completely overlapped with the third ply. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning and/or drying a surface to be cleaned by a cleaning device.
