<p>The present invention relates to a card terminal with which transportation cards compatible throughout a country can be used, and to a method for operating same. The card terminal according to the present invention comprises: a control unit for transmitting processing data on an electronic payment through an electronic card-processing unit and using RS-232, and continuously monitoring existing cards and cards compatible throughout the country in order to select one from among same for communication control the basis of monitored results; a fare terminal control interface for communicating with an electronic card via an RS-232 method and displaying an operating state; a contact-type card interface for controlling the existing cards and the cards compatible throughout the country; and a control board configured with a contactless card interface for operating and controlling a contactless A-type communication method and B-type communication method with respect to the cards compatible throughout the country, and further comprises an algorithm for recognizing a Config DF on the basis of a card operating system (COS) including a divert file (DF) and an element file (EF), selecting a DF of a standard card having compatibility, and performing a payment transaction for the standard card. Accordingly, the card terminal and operating method of the present invention can form the technical basis for providing a transportation card service compatible throughout the country, and can ensure, at an early stage, the diversity, reliability, and real-time operation of a transportation card system service that is compatible throughout a country.</p> |
