<p>The present invention discloses a method and device for encrypting a user identity during a paging procedure, which are especially applicable to a paging of a Mobility Management Entity (MME) with the use of an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI), and include: A. a secret key generated from the user identity of a called User Equipment (UE) is used to encrypt data Y generated based on the user identity, and then a paging is performed with a the cipher text; and B. after the called UE receives the paging, it determines whether the cipher text is included, and if so, then regards itself as the called UE. In a first preferred embodiment, the data Y is the user identity; in a second preferred embodiment, the data Y is the data combined by the user identity and random data X, and when a paging is performed, the random data X is sent along with the cipher text; and in a third preferred embodiment, the data Y is the data combined by the user identity and random data Z, and the user identity is included at a particular location in Y, therefore, when a UE receives the paging, the UE implements decryption with the user identity, and determines whether the user identity is included at the same location as the particular location in the decrypted plain text, so as to determine whether the paging is intended for itself.</p> |
