The method involves using a sensor (2) that is located at a reading distance of a coder, where the sensor comprises sensitive elements (3) e.g. hall effect sensor, that are linearly distributed and deliver signals (S1-S4) that represent a signal emitted by the coder. The signals of the elements are measured and combined for forming a set of two signals that are in a quadrature. The set of signals is amplified for equalizing their amplitude, where one of the set of two signals is amplified by a factor 2. An independent claim is also included for a bearing comprising a system of determination of quadrature pseudo sinusoidal signals from a pseudo sinusoidal signal.
