PURPOSE: A shift register and a method for driving thereof are provided to increase the property of a scan pulse at each stage by using a gate start signal as the clock signal of a front stage. CONSTITUTION: In a shift register and a method for driving thereof, a shift register comprises a plurality of stages. The plurality of stages successively outputs a scan pulse. Each stage comprises a scan direction controller(100), an output unit(120), and a signal generator(110) The scan direction controller controls the output scan pulse of the stage. The output unit outputs the scan pulse. A signal generator outputs a clock signal which enables a rear stage. |
