<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a piston rod for increasing the welding strength of a rod body and a rod head which are welded to each other by friction welding. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the piston rod for manufacturing the piston rod 1 by welding end faces 2c, 3c of the rod body 2 and the rod head 3 to each other includes: a step of hollowing out axial center parts of the rod body 2 and the rod head 3 from the end faces 2c, 3c, and removing impurities 10 caused by center segregation; and a step of welding the end faces 2c, 3c of the rod body 2 and the rod head 3 to each other by the friction welding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
