<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give preference to color reproduction in imaging, without reducing resolution. <P>SOLUTION: Six photodiodes (first and second photodiodes PDA and PDB of a pixel 1R provided with an R filter, first and second photodiodes PDA and PDB of the pixel 1R provided with a G filter, and first and second photodiodes PDA and PDB of the pixel 1R provided with a G filter) have spectral sensitivity characteristics different from one another. An amplification transistor AMP is provided for every pixel. In each pixel, transfer transistors TXA and TXB are provided, for each of the first and second photodiodes PDA and PDB.
