PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactless communication system capable of performing transmission of signal in a wide range from a low speed signal to a high speed signal. SOLUTION: The system includes a transmission circuit 2 for transmitting a transmission signal Vs, a transmission electrode 3 to be connected to the transmission circuit 2, a reception electrode 5 for receiving the transmission signal Vs from the transmission electrode 3, a precharge circuit 6 for giving a steady voltage to a node connected to the reception electrode 5, a threshold value variable circuit 7 for making a received signa Vr received by the reception electrode 5 to be an input, and inverter circuits 8a, 8b for amplifying an output signal V<SB>L</SB>of the threshold value variable circuit 7, wherein the inverter circuits 8a, 8b are made to perform subordinate connection, and changes a threshold value of the threshold value variable circuit 7 by performing feedback of an output of the inverter circuit 8a to the threshold value variable circuit 7, while indicating "contactless" means that the transmission electrode 3 and the reception electrode 5 are electrically contactless.
