PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a plane image without distortion to a subject in a photographing space. SOLUTION: Image information from a projector 300 provided outside an opening is projected toward the inner wall of the opening 124 for forming a photographing space of a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus. Reverse distortion is applied to the projected image data according to the positional relationship between the projector and the plane of projection of image information and the curve surface shape of the inner wall surface of the opening. Thus, an image projected at a predetermined position in the opening from the projector is displayed to be recognized as a substantially plane image without distortion according to the position and posture of the subject placed in the photographing space, so that necessary information can be accurately given to the subject and also a confined feeling of the subject placed in the narrow photographing space can be lessened.
