PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for distributing a reinforcing bar, which enables the inexpensive and simple laborsavings of a manufacturing process of a mesh bar. SOLUTION: This apparatus for distributing the reinforcing bar includes: a storage mechanism H which is equipped with a storage opening 31 for housing the supplied reinforcing bars f in the state of vertically arranging them in a line; a vertically-elongated reception opening 51 which is provided in such a manner as to be movable in a three-dimensional space, and which is used to receive the reinforcing bar f housed in the storage opening 31; and a gate means 6 for enabling the reinforcing bars f, which are installed in the lower end opening of the reception opening 51 and received in the reception opening 51 in the state of being vertically arranged in a line, to be disengaged downward one by one from inside the reception opening 51. The gate means 6 is equipped with locking means 61A and 61B which are installed at an interval approximately equal in dimension to the outside diameter of the reinforcing bar f, in the upper and lower positions of the lower opening portion of the reception opening 51, respectively, and which are alternately protruded into the reception opening 51.
