<p>Disclosed is an air belt wherein a sack-like belt in a folded state is covered with a cover, wherein both the sack-like belt and the cover are sewn together with tear seams, and wherein without the need to use a large-output inflator, it is possible to tear up the tear seams when the air belt is inflated. Also disclosed is an air belt device which uses this air belt. The sack-like belt (21) is covered with a mesh webbing (23) and a mesh cover (25). The air belt (10) is sewn with the tear seems (33) in a plurality of places in the longitudinal direction. The tear seems (33) extend in the width direction of the air belt (10) and are curved in such a way as to be convex toward a tongue (13).</p> |
