In the above method, a base station sends a message to a terminal, and the terminal performs hardware reconfiguration after receiving the message; the base station determines that the terminal completes the hardware reconfiguration, and communicates with the terminal on the adjusted carrier. According to the invention, after the terminal completes the frequency points adjustment of radio frequency, the communication between the base station and terminal on the adjusted bandwidth is realized, and the utilization of the wireless resource is improved.
