摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a hybrid drive mechanism capable of generating electricity even during stopping of a vehicle, and power generation operating a motor generator at the maximum efficiency point during traveling, and to provide a vehicle with the mechanism and a method of controlling the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: Rotations of an input shaft 22 are transmitted to an output shaft 28 through a carrier fixed on the input shaft 22 on an engine side, a tapered roller 28 contacting with a variable speed ring 29 whose rotations are fixed, and rotating while revolving with the rotations of a carrier 23, a ring roller 28 rotating while contacting with the tapered roller 24b. Planetary friction wheel type continuously variable transmissions 10, 10A, 10B moving the variable speed ring 29 in an axial direction of the input shaft 22 to carry out gear change are used for a transmission.
