<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image discrimination device in which a memory capacity and a calculation amount are reduced for discriminating an image attribute. <P>SOLUTION: An image discrimination device discriminates the image attribute indicating an image type, and includes: an edge calculating section that calculates an edge direction in each processing unit including a predetermined number of pixels of an image; a local connectivity calculating section that calculates local connectivity intensity indicating a degree of alignment with the edge direction of the surrounding processing unit in each of the processing units based on the calculated edge direction; an image attribute discrimination section that discriminates the image attribute in each attribute discrimination region including a predetermined number of processing units of the image using the local connectivity intensity of the processing unit in the attribute discrimination region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
