PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to open and close a flowing path for liquid with simple constitution without accompanying with abrupt liquid movement without causing complication and high cost of a device. SOLUTION: The problem is solved by providing an inkjet recorder having at least one head module in which a plurality of nozzles are arranged, the flowing path for the liquid connected to the head module, a pump for the liquid arranged in the flowing path for the liquid, a damper unit arranged in the mid of the flowing path for the liquid and constituted by including a liquid chamber having a feeding port and a discharging port introducing and discharging the liquid flowing through the flowing path for the liquid, and a gas chamber oppositely arranged while sandwiching a flexible film with the liquid chamber, a pump for gas connected to a gas chamber via the flowing path for the gas, and a control means controlling to open and close the flowing path for the liquid by changing the pressure in the gas chamber by controlling the drive of the pump for the gas.
