PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new auxiliary tool for high-place work, which provides physical and psychological stability and superior work efficiency for the work at the high place, especially even when working on a rear side (rear face) of the part used as a scaffold for a worker, and to provide a method of working at the high place using the auxiliary tool. SOLUTION: The auxiliary tool for the high-place work includes a load bearing net 2 formed into a square to bear the load of the worker, a plurality of reinforcing ropes 6, 7 arranged to have a loop shape surrounding a center of the load bearing net 2, and hanging ropes 9 to 12 which respectively extend from the part near the center of the load bearing net 2 to the directions of corners of the load bearing net 2. Base ends and intermediate parts of the hanging ropes are fixed to or engaged with the reinforcing ropes 6, 7.
