PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To additionally install a crown-type concrete structure on the top of an existing dam or a bank for coping with floods caused by an increase in maximum possible precipitation, and a drought. SOLUTION: An upper concrete structure where a crown height H of a dam 20 can be increased includes a base 10 stably fitted to the crown dam, two side walls 11, 12 extending along the lengthwise direction of the dam 20 from the upper part of the base 10, one or more inner/outer partition walls 13 and 14 disposed between inclined bases 10a, 10c and the side walls 11, 12, respectively, a space formed of the two side walls 11, 12 and the base 10, and a sheet pile 15 extending vertically downward from the bottom of the base 10 to be inserted into an inner core of the dam.
