PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of using a minutely pulverized bamboo in a cosmetic, while currently titanium oxide is mainly used as a material for giving hiding power to cosmetic and no minute powder of plants has been known as a material for giving hiding power although weak, and for bamboo powder, development has been proceeded mainly paying attention on its antibiotic activity but no investigation has been carried out on its characteristic as a pigment. SOLUTION: This cosmetic having appropriate hiding power and gloss can be obtained by compounding a minutely pulverized bamboo powder especially that having an average primary particle diameter in the range of 1-15μm.
