PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress non-uniformity in level of drying a printed medium. SOLUTION: The printing device includes: an inkjet head 21 configured to print on the paper 1; a drying unit 22 whose drying capacity to dry the ink can be controlled for each of areas divided along a conveying width direction on a conveying path to convey the paper 1 which has been printed by the inkjet head 21; and a controller 24 for individually controlling the drying capacity of the drying unit 22 in accordance with the printing state of the inkjet head 21. For example, when the ink landing amount on the center in the width direction of the paper 1 is large, supply fans 32b and 32c and the corresponding discharge fans 35b and 35c (located in the same position in the width direction as the supply fans) are increased in terms of rotating speed, then, the air amount is increased to increase the drying capacity.
