摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire imaging data at more than one energy range by fast switching between energy levels. SOLUTION: A controller (28) is configured to: energize an X-ray source (14) to the first kVp (202) for a first time period (232); subsequently energize the X-ray source (14) to the second kVp (204) for a second time period (234); integrate data for a first integration period (236) that includes a portion of a steady-state period (220) of the X-ray source (14) at the first kVp (202); integrate data for a second integration period (242) that includes a portion of a steady-state period (226) of the X-ray source (14) at the second kVp (204); compare (112) a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) during the first integration period (SNR<SB>H</SB>) and the second integration period (SNR<SB>L</SB>); adjust (116) an operating parameter of the CT system (10) to optimize SNR<SB>H</SB>with SNR<SB>L</SB>; and generate an image using the integrated data.
