PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can provide a carrying passage corresponding to sheets. SOLUTION: The sheet discharge device for stacking sheets discharged from the image forming device includes: the carrying passage along which the sheets are carried; a guide member formed so that its attitude can be changed over between a first attitude where it does not cross the carrying passage and does not change a sheet carrying direction and a second attitude where it crosses the carrying passage and changes the sheet carrying direction; a discharge tray for receiving the sheets whose moving direction is changed by the guide member in the second attitude; a change-over mechanism for changing over the attitude of the guide member between the first attitude and the second attitude; and a control unit for controlling the change-over mechanism. The control unit controls the change-over mechanism to adjust the angle of the guide member in the second attitude to the carrying passage in accordance with sheet identifying information from the image forming device.
