PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet embedded rotating electrical machine for reducing torque ripples. SOLUTION: Outer circumference of a rotor 15 is formed by circumferential portions 19A, 19B having a radius R with a rotating axis C as a center, a pair of recess portions 20A, 20B, and a convex portion 21. The convex portion 21 between the pair of recess portions 20A, 20B is located more to the outside at a radial compared to the deepest portions 23A, 23B of the pair of recess portions 20A, 20B. The recess portion 23A is located on the side of a magnetic pole center portion 173 of a permanent magnet 17B compared to a bridge 25 in the peripheral direction of the rotor 15. The recess portion 23B is located more to the side of magnetic pole center portion 173 of a permanent magnet 17A compared to the bridge 25 in the peripheral direction of the rotor 15.
