METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PAPER SHREDDING CUTTER USING GROOVE FILLING PROCESS

A method for manufacturing a paper shredding cutter using a groove filling process comprises following steps: cold-drawing a round rod to get a cutter shaft (6) on which longitudinal grooves (4) are evenly distributed in a circumferential direction; machining a mounting hole (2) of a cutter blade (1) to have a shape that matches with a cross sectional shape of the cutter shaft; assembling a required number of the cutter blades on the cutter shaft at a predetermined interval between the blades; and extruding a ridge portion (7) that protrudes on a surface of the cutter shaft using an extruding cutter so as to make the material of the ridge portion deform and move into the groove, therefore the cutter blades are rigidly fixed on the cutter shaft. This method not only can save raw material, but also can manufacture the paper shredding cutter having high quality.
