Cooling or calibrating rolls(1) for initial cooling of the plastic(5) after production are followed by a cooling zone(7) formed of pairs of rolls(2,3,4) arranged behind one another. The pairs of rolls(2,3,4) are assembled into modules(6). Rolls of each pair and pairs of rolls can be adjusted relative to each other. Rolls may be driven individually or together and are temperature controlled internally. Surfaces of rolls may have similar or different structures. Modules can be adjusted in the extrusion direction or perpendicular to this direction. |
