BANDWIDTH REQUEST METHOD AND BANDWIDTH ALLOCATION METHOD IN BROADBAND WIRELESS ACCESS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A bandwidth request method and a bandwidth allocation method are provided not to require a process which requests a uplink resource for enabling a terminal to transmit a bandwidth request message. CONSTITUTION: A terminal receives allocation information of a bandwidth request channel which is an uplink resource for transmitting bandwidth request header from a base station through a predetermined broadcast channel(S520). The terminal transmits bandwidth requesting header including a bandwidth request message and a high speed connection message to the base station(S530). The terminal receives an uplink grant information corresponding to information included in the bandwidth request message and the high connection message from the base station(S540). The terminal transmits data to the base station by using uplink resource which supports the uplink grant information(S550).
