Preparing hypoallergenic glycoprotein comprises breeding a mutant or transgenic plant, parts of the plants or their cells; and isolating a desired hypoallergenic glycoprotein from the cultured material, where the activity of golgi alpha -mannosidase II enzyme in the mutant or transgenic plant, parts of the plants or their cells is eliminated or reduced. Independent claims are included for: (1) the mutant or transgenic plant, parts of the plants or their cells; and (2) hypoallergenic glycoproteins obtainable by the method.
