PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for classifying printed documents in a printer are provided to prevent the overlapping phenomenon of the printed documents using a paper ejecting part. CONSTITUTION: A paper ejecting part(100) includes a sting on a paper ejected and stacked side and a linear gear on a lower side. A moving unit includes a cylindrical gear(130) and a motor(140). The cylindrical gear corresponds to the linear gear. The motor rotates the cylindrical gear to left and right directions. A printing identification part(170) detects the print completion of a bundle of printed documents. A controlling part drives the motor according to the detected signal of the printing identification part and moves the paper ejecting part.
