The unit has an engine device generating rotation movement, where the unit provides rotation frequency in a range from 10 revolutions per minute to 200 revolutions per minute. A coupling device transmits the rotation movement generated by the engine device to an axle (32) coupled with a rotatable high-frequency electrode (31) when the unit is coupled with a medical resector (10). The coupling device includes a hollow space with a cylindrical portion that is not symmetrical with a rotation axis of the coupling device. An independent claim is also included for a medical resector comprising a rotatable high-frequency electrode on a distal end of a medical resector.
