BACKLIGHT UNIT AND DISPLAY APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A backlight unit which improved a picture quality of an image and a display device using the same are provided to reduce the thickness of a display device and closely attach a backlight unit in a display panel, thereby improving an exterior and simplifying a manufacturing process of a display device. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of light sources emits light by being formed on a first layer(210). A second layer(230) covers a plurality of light sources by being arranged on an upper side of the first layer. A reflecting layer(240) is formed between a first and second layer. An ND(Neutral Density) filter(232) is arranged on upper side of the second layer. The ND filter includes a metal thin film layer which is thinner than the reflecting layer. The ND filter is formed by laminating the metal thin film layer and a dielectric layer.
