SERIAL-STAGE OPTICAL PARAMETRIC AMPLIFIER USING NONLINEAR CRYSTALS

PURPOSE: A serial light medium amplifier of a nonlinear optical medium is provided to maximize energy efficiency by reusing pump light used in a first amplification unit in a second amplification unit. CONSTITUTION: A signal light generating unit(103) generates the n-th signal light. The n is a natural number. A pump light generating unit(107) generates the n-th pump light. The n-th amplifying unit outputs the n+1 signal light by amplifying the n-th signal light using the n-th pump light. The n-th amplifying unit outputs the n-th pump light as the (n+1)-th pump light. The n-th amplifying unit includes a first amplifying unit, a second amplifying unit, and a third amplifying unit. The first amplifying unit outputs the second signal light and the second pump light. The second amplifying unit outputs the third signal light and the third pump light. The third amplifying unit outputs the fourth signal light and the fourth pump light.
