<p>An airbag tether connector assembly 10 for a vehicle. The tether connector assembly includes first and second connector members 20, 30 that engage with one another via a retaining mechanism 23, 33 to fasten together two tethers 26, 36. fn the event that the first and second connector members 20, 30 are not correctly coupled together an indication of this fact is providing in one of a number of manners thereby reducing the risk that a vehicle fitted with such a curtain airbag assembly can enter service with one or more tethers 26, 36 not connected. A mounting means 11 permits the connector assembly to be releasably attached to the vehicle. The connector assembly may be provided on a curtain airbag, at a lower end of the separate airbags, thus holding each adjacent airbag together when deployed.</p> |
