1281256 Window mechanism ESQUIRE Inc 16 Oct 1970 [15 June 1970] 49355/70 Headings E2F and E2M [Also in Division F4] Two rods 24 extend loosely through holes 25 in the base 14 of a light fitting 11 and are pivotally connected to one side of a closure window, e.g. a light diffuser, 19 by means of aligned pins 34 engaging in slots 35 in the rod ends 24B. A coil spring 26 is engaged between each rod 24 and the base 14 to urge the window against the base 14 when the window is closed, and to urge an edge 18A of the window against the base when the window is open. A seal 20 is provided between the window and the frame and a gasket 22 between the window and the base 14. Releasable fasteners, e.g. screws, are provided on the side of the window opposite to the rods 24. The rod ends 24B are received in slots 33 in the window sides 18B, 18D. The rods may be pulled downwardly and a peg passed through a hole 36 therein to bear against the base 14, thus permitting the window to be disengaged from the pins 34. A cap 27, which retains the spring 26 on the rod, may be removed by twisting through 90‹. |
