Compounds of formula FCH 2 CONHCH (Cl 3 ) OR in which R is a C 2-6 alkyl or C 2-6 haloalkyl group or an aryl group optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms or C 1-4 alkyl, nitro, cyano, thiocyano, C 1-4 alkylthio or C 1-4 alkylsulphonyl groups are prepared by reaction of a compound of formula FCH 2 COHNCH(Cl 3 )Cl with an alcohol or phenol or an alkali metal salt thereof. The compounds of the invention have insecticidal, fungicidal, anti-microbial, acaricidal, herbicidal and selective rodenticidal activity.</p> |
