A spinning spindle is provided with means 30 adjacent its base to support and magnetically seat the bobbin 20 on the spindle. As shown, support means 30 is an annular ring 30 carrying permanent magnets 34 and is frictionally fitted to the spindle base. The ring 30 can be of sufficient height to prevent a friction fit of a tapered bobbin 20 on the spindle. The magnetic seating means 30 coacts with a metal ring on the base of the bobbin.</p> |
